  • Why Do I Need To Have Any Health Insurance?

This is a question that has plagued the insurance industry for years and after countless interviews and surveys they are no closer to the answer than they were when they first started out. The reason behind this? Well it’s actually very simple. There are many mitigating circumstances as to why most people do not have health insurance but the main reason is the cost.

In a day and age where a gallon of gas is almost 3 dollars and the cost of living continues to rise while the wages stay virtually the same most citizens feel the need for food, shelter and clothing are greater than that of health insurance. Although some companies offer group insurance of some sort the premiums and co-pays may be a little too steep for the single parent trying to provide for two or more children and even for some working couples with two or more children.

Another reason is that most people don’t feel they really need insurance at this point in their lives. They are young, healthy and don’t foresee any problems in their immediate futures so why would they spend their hard earned dollars on something they will probably never use. The bottom line when it’s all said and done is this. Health care costs money.

Money that some don’t have or do not wish to part with at this time and until our health care system gets a drastic overhaul the number of uninsured people will continue to grow until the insurance companies take notice and devise a way to provide better health care at reasonable prices to everyone.

  • Why Do So Many People Not Have Any Health Insurance?

Health insurance is related to the protection of the economic value of the human body. It has benefit because it meets some of his needs. The benefit may be an income or in some other form.

In modern days people are and should take some health insurance because nowadays it is essential. Some hospitals have introduced some of their own health plans for their their health insurance projects. Some people are missing out on having good health insurance because of non availability of hospital facilities or enough well advertised health insurance agents.

In many cities people are very busy and unable to spend the much needed time on investigating health insurance plans, this is also the reason for not having any decent health insurance of their own. Some people are not aware of health insurance coverage of their own body which is also the reason for not having the much needed health insurance.

In contrast in many villages the people are not availed to be able to have any health insurance at all due to they are uneducated and way to many of these people ignore the available knowledge of health insurance or are unable to afford it. This is also the reason they do not have any personal health insurance. And also with the non availability of proficient health insurance agents who are able to explain the needs of the people interested in health insurance.

Plans of insurance that provide only death cover are called term Assurance plans. These types of plans are very useful to the person’s life because the plans helps the life to live. Again in the village example they, the village people, are very sensitive to take the health insurance, because they are afraid some bad things will happen to them. So these also are one of the reason not to take health insurance.

So. these are many of the common reasons and causes people do not take up with any health insurance. The main features are non availability of health insurance agents to explain and work with the people or the people are just uneducated, have no time or are afraid of their own life. These also probably all bad reasons people do not have any health insurance.

  • Why Do We Need Health Insurance Anyway?

    Sep 25th 2009

Health insurance belongs in the realms of,  ‘What if?’. As does most insurance coverage. None of us would, in good conscience, go on a boat without a life jacket. Does this mean the chance of an accident is high or even inevitable? No, of course not. So the need for health insurance is great for the same reasoning.

We need the coverage only when we need it. But as we never can know when we will need it we should be covered all the time. Pretend it is the life jacket for the land.

Many questions can arise about health insurance like.

1  How many people do not have health insurance?
2  What is the definition of health insurance?
    3   What is health insurance?
4   Employer obligations when offering health insurance?
5   How long can dependent child remain on group health insurance?
6   How does health insurance work?
7   How to buy health insurance?

So rather than try and answer them all as they do go on and on I am going to cover the ones that seem to be asked the most by different age groups of society.

  • What To Pay, the Mortgage, Gas in the Car or Our Health Insurance?

    Oct 8th 2009

If you ask a friend, neighbor, and even a co worker if they have health insurance it is almost guaranteed that at least one will answer no. In today’s society health insurance is not necessarily viewed as an essential especially when compared to paying the mortgage, putting gas in the car, and feeding our children.

There are a few reasons why health insurance is not a priority. The first is cost. If you Google health insurance you are bound to get dozens of hits, all links to websites promising to be affordable. In reality when you consider the average household size and coverage some families look at paying hundreds of dollars a month. When you factor that into a families budget it doesn’t leave much for other things.

Some employers offer coverage, but even in most of those cases the cost to the employee is well above what can be adequately budgeted for. The second is unemployment. The economy is currently in a recession, and that has hit the job market significantly. More people are on unemployment then ever before. Health insurance for most of these people is not an option. Unemployment barely covers living expenses, and health insurance is not considering a living expense. And the last is cutbacks in public programs.

The recession hasn’t just hit the average person, it has also hit public programs. Governments are struggling with budgets cuts, and that sometimes gets passed down to the programs that help many people. The cutbacks mean they can take less people then before, and give less handouts to those currently enrolled. Overall there are many contributing factors to why so many people don’t have health insurance. It is going to take time for the economy to rebound, and education for the average American to understand what coverage options work best for them.
